Legislative history of CISG article 33: Match-up with 1978 Draft to assess relevance of Secretariat Commentary


1978 Draft article 31

The seller must deliver the goods:

(a) if a date is fixed by or determinable from the contract, on that date; or

(b) if a period of time is fixed by or determinable from the contract, at any time within that period unless circumstances indicate that the buyer is to choose a date; or

(c) in any other case, within a reasonable time after the conclusion of the contract.

  

CISG article 33

The seller must deliver the goods:

Editorial comments

CISG article 33 and 1978 Draft article 31 are identical except for the deletion of "or" after the first semicolon. The Secretariat Commentary on article 31 should therefore be relevant to the interpretation of CISG article 33.
