CISG article 87

A party who is bound to take steps to preserve the goods may deposit them in a warehouse of a third person at the expense of the other party provided that the expense incurred is not unreasonable.

Editorial comments

CISG article 87 is identical to 1978 Draft article 76, except for "A" rather than "The" at the outset. The Secretariat Commentary on 1978 Draft article 76 should therefore be relevant to the interpretation of CISG article 87.
