There are many Article 1 cases -- almost every CISG case is in a certain sense an Article 1 case. There are so many Article 1 cases, one needs an intelligent guide to annotations of the cases. The 2008 and 2012 UNCITRAL Digests provide such a guide.
In general, the theory of the case for this series of reports is to supplement the UNCITRAL Digest with citations to additional or more recent cases that refer to or interpret the Article reviewed. An exception is made for Article 1. We have over 2,500 case presentations on the cisgw3 database. Virtually all of them apply Article 1(1)(a) or Article 1(1) (b). For a listing of all cases reported on the cisgw3 database, go to the Country case schedule.
